Nothing technical: As per Pythagoras theorem, hypotenuse side square of a right angled triangle is the sum of the squares of the other two sides: a^2 + b^2 = c^2 4^2 + 3^2 = 5^2 16 + 9 = 25 16/9/25, is today's date, and, 4,3,5 are said to be Pythagorean triplets.

It can also be 40 square, but then it will not be Pythagorean.
