All years died too soon

 

Today is the birthday of 2026,

And in a year it will be

A one-year-old,

Ready indeed for its first birthday.

Tis the curse of every year,

From AD one to 2025,

All years died too soon,

None became a one-year-old.

Will 2026 be different?

Will 2027 wait a little while,

That 2026 wears a one year cap,

And becomes destiny's child?
