Antipodal

As nations, we know where our maritime boundaries are, where our airspace is. But what is our nation's boundary beneath the earth? Up to how many kilometres does it extend? Does it extend up to the centre of the earth? In that case, subterranean areas belonging to a nation, would become conical in shape where the earthly space of a nation touches the centre of  the earth. Or, does it go right across, and to the other face of the earth? Then we would have two land spaces on the surface of the earth that are antipodal, yet are under the same flag; one the alter ego of the other. With two thirds of earth covered by oceans, more likely would be one land space and one oceanic space, each with its own maritime boundary and airspace.

The logic of geography can be understood but it's difficult to delineate why boundaries are made across the countries.
